Matt and I had another wonderful ultrasound today! Not only did we get to see our little peanut but we heard the hearbeat (146 b.p.m.) and we even got to see some flips and turns! We had some genetic testing done and will get those results in a few weeks. Matt, who thinks he's a doctor, was pointing out the baby's legs, hands, heart, etc to me. It was actually very helpful....except when he would just shout out when the doctor was talking because he saw something!

Phillies Game
On Sunday, Matt and I went down to Citizen's Bank Park to watch the Phillies play the Mets. Even though, it was a pretty boring game only to leave in the 8th inning running to the car because of the rain, we had a good time. After a three-hour rain delay, we watched from the comfort of our home the Phillies lose in extra innings 4 - 2.

Buffalo Chicken Dip recipe
Here is the recipe for Buffalo Chicken Dip. The amount of hot sauce you use is really up to you. I usually use about a 1/2 bottle when I make it. Enjoy:)
Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip
16 ounces cream cheese
8 ounces Frank's Red Hot Sauce
2 cups cooked shredded chicken
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Combine cream cheese, and hot sauce. Heat in microwave until cream cheese is melted. Stir; add chicken and ½ cup of cheddar cheese. Mix together. Put into a baking dish. Top with remaining cheddar cheese, if desired. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.

Max has a girlfriend......sort of
We celebrated the 4th of July up in Carbondale with Matt's family. First, we headed up to Newton Lake and hung out with Jack's cousins and all of their kids and significant others. It was a ton of fun, we ate way too much and Max met Baby Milewski, a Yorkie puppy. Baby was afraid of Max at first, but then she was really into Max. Max, on the other hand, was more interested in the people and food around him. Maybe one day they will have equal love for each other.
Then, Matt, Nancy and I went over to Cottrell Lake and watched an amazing fireworks show. Max fell asleep on my lap and it was a wonderful end to a fantastic day!

Welcome Gavin Christopher Smith!
Gavin Smith was born on Monday, June 30th. Eva, Chris, Chelsea, Gavin and Millie are adjusting to all the wonderful changes at home. Matt and I can only hope that we are as good of parents that Eva and Chris are.

First Ultrasound
We had our first ultrasound today. The doctor measured me a week behind what we had originally thought. So my new due date is February 6, 2009! We also heard the heartbeat, which was 176. The doctor said it should be between 130 - 180 bpm. So either our baby was just as nervous as it's mother or has high blood pressure and gets very excited like it's father!!
